about

The Marquis Is Dead! The 6 track “Malaür” features 3 original brooding and haunting tracks by Dillon Steele + 3 remixes ranging from ebm/industrial, hints of italo, wave & rapid fire techno by The Under Taker’s Tapes, Skelesys & Alessandro Nero. Releases August 4th as digital + 50 hand numbered cassettes.

More info:

This is the first release under the new moniker, and a much more intimate album then what fans normally are used to hearing.
Included are 3 other original songs, "May Saint Peter's Gates Burn to the Ground" and "The Hand of God could not Smite me Down" (featuring Prophan), as well as 3 remixes of "My Sorrow Knows No Bounds, My Fury Hath No Equal" by Skelesys (Oraculo Records), Alessandro Nero (Kind Crime Records), and The Undertakers Tapes (Area Z Records). The EP releases officially on 4 August 2023 with X-IMG Records in Berlin, Germany.

Quote from the artist:

“The single reflects heavily on past mistakes, nostalgia, love, loss, regrets, and longing. An attempt to re-conciliate with oneself and make some sort of peace, or put the pieces of the past together in a way that make some sort of sense. It's intimate, very intimate, so for the video I stripped myself bare (literally) and we kept the decor to a minimum, I felt naked physically and emotionally.”
